Fabricio Werdum - The Most Inactive Champion Ever

Fabricio Werdum is the most inactive fighter ever. His fight this weekend against Stipe Miocic will be his 6th fight in 4 years!! This is the man that is representing the Heavyweight division and the last time we saw him was June 2015. He has been the champion for almost a year with 0 title defences.

He was originally scheduled in a unification bout with the returning champion Cain Velasquez but unfortunately Cain got injured again and had to pull out. UFC announced that Stipe Miocic would be the replacement for Cain. Werdum then revealed that he had an injury and also pulled from the fight which he got a lot of criticism for as it seemed slightly strange that only when Miocic was revealed as the next opponent he pulled from the card.

In their first fight Cain blamed his loss on the lack of altitude training before going to Mexico city to fight and he gassed quickly in the fight which is very unusual and this is usually one of Cain's strengths.

On Saturday at UFC 198 Werdum will make his first title defence against promising contender Stipe Miocic and theres a very split decision on who will come out the champion. My vote is #AndNew. More on 198 to come.
