UFC 198: MORE PACKED THAN UFC 200!!

Although the UFC 200 event is being put forward as the pinnacle of the MMA world right now I think they have put so much emphasis on this once in a lifetime event that we expected huge superfights, lots of championship fights and basically things that the UFC couldn't sustain as the were be no stars left to fight on 201, 202 or any of the fight nights in between so they wouldn't carry any of the new fans gained at 200 through.

NOW! onto what is one of the top contenders for best card of the year. UFC 198 live from Curitiba Brazil brings you the highly anticipated heavyweight title fight and Werdum's first title defence after hold the belt for almost a year. The number one contender fight in the middleweight division between expert grappler and jiu jitsu practitioner Ronaldo 'Jacare' Souza and explosive striker Vitor Belfort. Unfortunately due to a gall bladder infection Anderson Silva has had to withdraw from the fight with Uriah Hall who is consequently also off the card.

However, this card is so stacked there is plenty more to look forward to! The featured fight pass prelim is the legendary light heavyweight fighter and currently 10th ranked Antonio Nogueira against the extremely well rounded Patrick Cummings. Literally every prelim and main card fights have well known names and exciting prospects and as a whole card start to finish is easily the best we've seen this year and could rival UFC 200.

In the welterweight division we have the undefeated Brazilian prospect Warlley Alves looking to extend his record against the man who defeated Sage Northcutt, Bryan Barberena. We also have an exciting fight between two people who love to finish a fight but have different methods, BJJ black belt Damian Maia will face off against the brawler Matt Brown.

The legend Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua is looking not to drop anymore places in the rankings to number 12 ranked up and comer Corey Anderson. Also of course we have the debut of Cris Cyborg! Unfortunately this seems like a 'tune-up' fight against the (8-6-1) Leslie Smith BUT don't count her out, she has a good chin and can absorb a lot of damage so look for a good fight but also an exhibition from Cyborg in her first statement on the biggest MMA stage in the world.
